RFQ – Mpact Masterclass Academy

April 10, 2023

People putting sticky notes on a glass wall

Mpact, through our Mpact:LAB program, is planning a Masterclass Academy designed to equip people working in transit, mobility, land use and development with skills to do the hard work of persuading and leading across sectors, disciplines, and levels of status or seniority.

We are seeking instructors and trainers with experience delivering classes on a range of topics outlined in the Request for Qualifications (RFQ). If you know about great trainers on specific topics, please send our way. If you are a trainer or instructor in one of the topic areas, we want to hear from you. Please respond by May 14, 2023.

Orange squiggle

At Mpact, we believe that transit, land use and development work has to be done differently to achieve results that involve and benefit all members of the community. Doing this work well means going beyond the status quo. It means reaching across disciplines, sectors and levels of seniority or status. It means orienting success to the people in a given place. It means involving more than the usual suspects at the decision-making table. It means having different kinds of conversations to figure out the way forward.

Our work (like any cross-cutting work) demands that there be leaders skilled at herding cats without the official authority to do so. Doing intersectional work requires an array of leadership skills to navigate differing perspectives, priorities, and definitions of success.

Mpact Masterclass Academy –  November 5, 2023

On Sunday, November 5, 2023, Mpact will host a one-day Masterclass Academy to “fill the toolbox” of a diverse array of professionals in the transit, land use, and community development space. The goal of the Masterclass Academy is to provide practical tools that will elevate attendees’ formal and informal leadership skills and benefit their everyday work. It will be offered in conjunction with the Mpact Transit + Community conference, happening in Phoenix, Arizona, November 5-8, 2023.

Read the Request for Qualifications to find out more. Respond by May 14.

Note: we will post answers to any questions we receive here.
