MW15 The FX Progressive Tour: BRT Design, Land Use and Community

FX2-Division is the Portland region’s first Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) line, operating along Division Street in Southeast Portland. Division is a corridor with a spectrum of neighborhoods and communities, each with its own character, culture and background. Make stops along Division as you learn about the wide-ranging community benefits leveraged through the FX-2 project, including job creation, workforce training and long-term economic empowerment. Hear from the City of Portland Bureau of Transportation, Orego Metro and a range of community and civic leaders who championed the project, including the Asian Pacific American Network of Oregon (APANO), the 82nd Ave Coalition, Division Midway, Raimore Construction and others. Learn about transit priority tools, including next-generation transit signal priority, and strategies for implementing enhanced FX bus service in constrained corridors.
