San Antonio

May-June 2022

A group of stakeholders in San Antonio is interested in building a network of mobility hubs across the city. The idea is to connect the experience of transportation and place more consistently and intentionally for both residents and tourists alike.

The San Antonio MOVE Roundtable group convened around the dream of building a network of mobility hubs throughout the city to connect people with places and opportunities, and putting San Antonio on the national map as a pioneer in mobility hub implementation.

Participants determined that they should follow a two-pronged approach: building out initial pilot mobility hubs as demonstration projects, while also developing a longer-term plan for an entire network of mobility hubs that would connect many locations throughout the city.

During the Roundtable, participants worked together to develop the following vision statement for San Antonio mobility hubs: “Mobility Hubs connect transportation options in welcoming places that make your trips easier and more convenient — the freedom to move however you choose!”
