Phoenix

The Roundtable focused on thinking regionally, with the goal of building relationships and momentum to support the conference planning process. Mpact Transit + Community conference will be in downtown Phoenix, November 5-8, 2023

Fifteen people in the Phoenix area participated, representing local government, public health, academia, transit and transportation, urban planning, economic development and community organizations.

At the conclusion of the MOVE Roundtable, participants walked away with:

• A shared commitment to a Phoenix conference that is connected to and reflective of many communities and community members throughout the region.
• A shared sense of the importance of alignment at many levels, for example: between housing and transit and across multiple jurisdictions.
• A shared understanding about the opportunity to use the conference planning/hosting process as an organizing tool to build stronger connections across the region at both the relationship level and on the ground.
