Building Stakeholders for BRT
at different stages and scales
Tuesday, January 10, 2023, 11 am – Noon Central

AICP CM 1.0 (for attending the webinar live)

Making the case for transit expansion and bringing new stakeholders into the conversation is an endeavor that requires continual renewal. And, the conversation is different in each locale.

In this webinar, hear from three communities at different stages of considering investment in Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and with three scales of stakeholders in mind:

• the community along the proposed corridor,
• the region impacted by the investment and
• the state able to withhold or grant permission and funding.

Learn how each location – Milwaukee, Wisconsin; the Twin Cities in Minnesota; and Indianapolis, Indiana – has framed the opportunity around transit investments and defined the stakeholders missing from the conversation.

The delivery of new transit not as an end itself but a means to a more connected, vibrant and sustainable community. But, as the webinar makes clear, achieving this depends on a bringing the conversation about the benefits of transit to new stakeholders, including those who might (think they will) never ride.
